Reclusive Dublin band One Day International release their first music since 2008 debut album, Blackbird.

Inspired by “our instinct to help those around us in times of need”, Heavy Lifting is being released in support of Helping Irish Hosts, an organisation recently established to empower local communities across Ireland as they respond to the current humanitarian emergency in Ukraine.

Singer Matt Lunson and his family are currently hosting recently displaced Ukrainians themselves and Heavy Lifting features guest vocals from his own daughter & co-host, Maisie-Jane.

All proceeds from the recording will go to The Scoop Foundation & Helping Irish Hosts.
